Composition with Red grew out of the rhythm I discovered while painting my earlier Composition (After Mondrian). This time, I took that structure and began adding color, especially red, letting it move through and energize the composition. With the underlying rhythm already in place, I could simply play with it. This one was a lot of fun to paint.
