Sunrise on LeCount Hollow Dune – Red Streak grew from a summer night spent watching moonlight move across the ocean for hours. By dawn, mist lay heavy over the water when the rising sun suddenly broke through in a startling streak of red. I wanted to hold onto that fleeting moment, so I memorialized it on canvas, returning to the painting over several summers until it was complete.
