Ribbons 10/12 – After Cézanne came later in the series, when I had begun moving further away from the careful compositions of the early COVID lockdown and painting much more loosely. The vases and backgrounds became places to experiment , too. Here, I added ribbons of color that pick up the colors of the flowers, carrying some of the energy of the bouquet down into the vessel itself.
