Minda’s Forest grew from a visit with my daughter while she was completing her graduate research on carbon sequestration. She took me into her section of the Harvard Forest in Massachusetts, where we walked among the trees and explored the forest floor, encountering plenty of salamanders along the way. The painting holds some of that landscape, but also the memory of a very happy visit spent seeing the forest through my daughter’s eyes.
