Iris Welcoming Spring shifts my attention to Van Gogh, whose work I visited at his namesake museum in Copenhagen. Rather than contain the irises in a vase, I let them spread across the canvas until they became a wall of flowers. The blooms fill the space with color, welcoming spring without much concern for staying neatly arranged.
