Farmhouse #2 is part of a series in which each successive painting began to show more of my own hand and color choices. As I continued, I became less interested in simply painting a farmhouse within its landscape and more interested in what I could change around it. The series eventually led to my more recent houses, where trees disappear, flowers and utility poles appear, and the houses themselves become increasingly isolated.
