Caught in the Rain began with paint allowed to drip freely down the canvas, creating the rain before I added the vase and flowers beneath it. I painted this as COVID restrictions were finally beginning to ease, after so much time spent inside and apart. By then, I was more than ready to get out into the world again, even if it meant getting caught in the rain.
