Blue Curtain continues my exploration of flowers drawn largely from imagination. With each canvas, I gave myself more freedom to invent new shapes and forms rather than paint a particular bloom. The funny thing is, whenever I think I’ve invented a flower, nature seems to have gotten there first. Somewhere, something remarkably similar is probably already growing.
