Artist on Her Pedestal is a self-portrait of sorts: a little off-kilter, surrounded by the joyous colors and shapes of flowers, and placed on a pedestal. The flowers bring their own exuberance to the painting, while the tilted composition keeps everything, including me, slightly unsettled. As for why I’m on a pedestal? That’s a story for another part of the website.
