Woman on the Edge

Here is my woman complete…I wrote about her in my blog a few months ago. I worried about why SHE was worried and what she was doing in Tuscany, on a balcony with birds soaring overhead. And what was she holding in her right hand that I couldn’t see? There is mesh across the upper part of her body extending over the scenery. I like the backdrop of hills and waterfalls that are used in many formal paintings; however, the questionable foreground is more like a precipice than a secure deck. Although I knew what I wanted to paint when I started, this painting seems to be telling a story belonging to someone else.
