Here is a suggestion of a person speaking directly to the viewer – no need for a mouth. The eyes, the bulk of the upper body, set in a confrontational pose speaks volumes of living in the “yenna velt” – the other world of dis-locution and unexplainable dreams. This image was, I thought, a breakthrough from my dry spell of painting. Instead, it is suggesting that there is more silence during this very cold winter.
